QR codes that never expire
Some "free" generators create codes that stop working when a trial ends. Here is how to avoid that, and what we do differently.
Why printed codes stop working
Dynamic QR codes point to a short link on the provider's server, which then forwards to your page. If the provider turns that link off — for example when a trial ends — every printed code breaks at once. Static codes contain your content directly and don't depend on the generator's servers, so nobody can switch them off (a website code still needs your website to stay online).
How to check before you print
Scan the code and look at the address it opens. If it shows the provider's domain instead of yours, it's dynamic and depends on that provider. Read their terms for what happens when you stop paying.
Editable without depending on anyone
Static codes from this site are free forever and don't pass through our servers. If you need to change the destination after printing, encode an address on your own domain, such as yourbusiness.com/menu, and redirect it wherever you want from your website or hosting panel. The printed code stays the same and depends only on you.
